United Way of the Coastal Empire’s holistic approach to community impact involves many tasks, including:
- Continually assessing the community’s human service needs and tracking community indicators;
- Maximizing results by supporting effective, sustainable programs;
- Recognizing new and innovative programs addressing United Way’s priority Impact Areas;
- Providing additional resources, supports and services to build capacity of service providers; and
- Recognizing and supporting break-through opportunities for community impact goals.
United Way collaborates with City of Savannah, Chatham County, Armstrong Atlantic Statue University and other business and community partners to establish and track Community Indicators – specific measurements used to assess the well-being of the community and to provide a blueprint for successful community impact. The goal of our community indicators partnership is to inform the overall direction of United Way’s program funding and resource investment.
