Savannah, GA (July 6, 2009) – The generosity of Publix Super Markets is deeply embedded in the company’s culture.  On Tuesday, June 30^th, Publix Super Markets presented United Way of the Coastal Empire with a check for $81,900 toward the 2008 United Way general campaign, which raised over $8.3 million.

On Tuesday, June 18^th at AVIA, they were in luck!  Approximately 20 United Way’s Young Leaders Society (YLS) members and other young professionals attended a social networking event and leadership learning opportunity with special guest, Lydia Ramsey.

Savannah, GA (May 9, 2009) – In collaborative fashion, 20 local women, comprised of philanthropists and key community leaders, recently used their time, influence and financial resources to form the United Way’s Women’s Legacy Council (WLC).  The members share a common mission: to make a difference in the life of women and children in the Coastal Empire through philanthropy and service.

Savannah, GA (May 5, 2009) – The sun finally broke through the clouds to welcome United Way supporters as they took to the greens during the 17th Annual United Way Golf Tournament at Savannah Quarters Golf Club.  Each year, the golf tournament is instrumental in jump-starting the United Way fundraising campaign, as it builds awareness of the community based programs and agencies that United Way supports throughout its four county communities.
