United Way of the Coastal Empire is a volunteer-driven organization that involves community leaders and professionals in every aspect of our activities. As members of the Board, these volunteers are charged with the responsibility of assuring the integrity of our organization by overseeing financial and policy decisions that guide the organization, volunteers and staff. Cabinet members volunteer their time to help increase community participation in the United Way campaign within their respective industries. View Campaign CabinetCommunity Investment CommitteeA broad and diverse base of trained volunteers, knowledgeable about the needs in our community, carefully evaluate community programs and services for efficiency and effectiveness. The primary responsibility of the committee is to oversee the organization’s financial reporting and management practices on behalf of the Board and report the results of their activities to the Board. They work with the marketing department to strategize about how to effectively communicate the organization's mission within the four county community. With eleven volunteers on the Steering Committee leading the charge, it truly is a lively group.
