United Way’s Young Leaders Society was formed to provide community involvement and personal development opportunities to its young members.
Who are United Way Young Leaders? Young Leaders are individuals under 45 who contribute annually to United Way of the Coastal Empire. To provide a broader group of donors to participate, a step-up program has been developed:
- Age 30 & under @ $365 or more annually
- Age 31 - 35 @ $600 or more annually
- Age 36 - 45 @ $1,200 or more annually
Couples can combine gifts to qualify for membership.
What are benefits of being Young Leaders? Young Leader members enjoy a full roster of educational, social, and service events designed to help them improve their leadership skills and expand their personal and professional contacts. Some of the unique benefits of being a Yound Leader include leadership development, business networking, volunteer and social opportunities, recognition in the leadership giving roster and special communications.
Why should I become a Young Leader? Through leadership development, volunteerism, and networking, Young Leaders strive to educate other young business professionals about the work of United Way of the Coastal empire and about the importance of giving.
What activities can I look forward to?
- Community Leaders Series are intimate networking events with prominent local leaders.
- Developing Leaders Series are leadership development workshops featuring topics such as board development, business etiquette, and much more.
- Community Service Projects permit members and their families to volunteer for projects that improve neighborhoods and strength our community.
- Networking and Social Events allow members to expand their personal and professional networks.
