Homeless, low-income, and under- and uninsured individuals and families practice disease prevention, health management, and safety preparedness.
WHY IT MATTERS
We all have a responsibility to manage our health and safety, yet for many who face daily challenges in just meeting basic needs, health can be a low-priority. But when a health condition goes undiagnosed, untreated or poorly managed, or disaster strikes and we are unprepared to respond, serious health and economic consequences result for individuals, their families, and the community.
